Map showing Anson County in relationship to Charlotte Anson County is a little over a one-hour drive to Charlotte via U.S. Highway 74, where it links to interstates I-85 and I-77 and Douglas International Airport. About the same distance east is Fayetteville and interstate highway I-95. Continuing east on U.S. 74, Anson industries can link with the international ports in Wilmington.

Utilities are North Carolina Natural Gas, Pee Dee Electric and Carolina Power and Light. Water is plentiful, since the county is bounded by the Pee Dee River on the east. The county owns and operates the water system.

Cedar Hill Manufacturing is in Ansonville, which is in the northern end of the county.
